Our farm made soothing salve is good for any skin rash, cuts, burns, bug bites, chapped or dry skin condition as it is made with extra virgin olive oil that has been infused with calendula flowers and plantago (common plantain weed leaves) which are soothing and healing. Adding beeswax which helps re-hydrate and heal skin along with essential oils (rosemary, tea tree, peppermint and lavender) which all have medicinal, healing properties including being antifungal, antibacterial, antimocrobial, pain reducing and cooling, further soothes the skin and promotes healing.

The specific benefits of each ingredient:


Plantago-plantain weed contains plant compounds that may reduce inflammation and promote wound healing.  The leaves, which are infused in olive oil, contain several anti-inflammatory compounds, including flavonoids, terpenoids, glycosides, and tannins.

Calendula- known as a healing plant due to its... It contains antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, cuts, burns and relieving diaper rash. It' may also used as an antiseptic.

Calendula has can be used to relieve many types of skin conditions that may cause dry, itchy, or irritated areas. It soothes skin experiences symptoms of eczema, dermatitis, and dandruff. By promoting the production of collagen, an essential protein for glowing skin, Calendula aids in sustaining soothed, hydrated skin.

Calendula has also been found to assist in slowing the development of wrinkles. The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds in Calendula have been found to significantly protect against oxidative stress in human skin cells.  Calendula allows it to keep skin hydrated and healthy making it a great component for daily lotions or lip balm.
